Oobleck, The Final Frontier
On a planet parallel to ours, four space
explorersfrom the planet Earth landed. The name of
the planetthey landed on was Oobleck. The
explorer's missionwas to examine the planet. The
captain of the crew was Charlie and the co-captain
was Crag. The engineer was Susan and the mechanic
was Joey.
When the space ship arrived to the planet the
crew was shocked to find out that some of the
uranium rods that were used to power their ship
were damaged.When they found out what had happened,
they began to quarrel with one another and ended up
getting into a huge argument about how they would
fuel the ship again. Joey was really frustrated
because everyone was arguing. He decided to go
outside to smoke a cigarette.
While he was out smoking, he dropped his
cigarette into the Oobleck and was astonished to
find out that there was an explosion in the
Oobleck. By seeing this he realized that he could
use the Oobleck to fuel the ship. He went back and
told the crew what he had seen. They were very
fascinated when they heard what Joey had told
them.
Joey and Susan began working right away to try
and create a generator to make fuel out of
Oobleck.The both of them tried countless attempts
to create a generator. They knew they must have
been missing something but couldn't figure out what
it was. Susan had been thinking about it and came
to a conclusion,"Heat" she said to Joey. Don't you
remember, your cigarette was lit when it fell into
the Oobleck? They decided to make the generator
have a built in lighter enabling it to ignite the
Oobleck.When Susan and Joey filled the tank with
Oobleck, they all took off in the Delta Star and
headed back to planet Earth.
When they arrived back to Earth, everyone was
excited and anxious to see them and to hear all
about their discoveries and adventures. They told
everyone about what happened to them on the planet
Oobleck. They were all happy to be back on planet
Earth and home again.
