An Oobleck love story
"I'm board." said Cosmothonga a.k.a. Cosmo (she
was the princess of Oobleck).
Cosmo lived on planet Oobleck for her whole
life. The planet was very beautiful; it had orange
skies with plants clear as the stars if you look to
the sky. It had mountains of blue and forests of
purple. The planet was populated with many people
that could change forms and identities. Oobleck
itself was 95% water and 5% land. It was secluded
from all the other planets; none of the other
planets knew that the planet even existed.
Cosmo was very bored of planet Oobleck and would
often times chnge form and fly down to the planet
Earth to have some excitement in her life. Her
parents forebode of disguising herself as a human
and going to earth, it was too dangerous. Her
family wanted her to marry an Oobleckian so when
she would be in rule, she would have pure breed
children.
So she snuck out, she took her own personal
spaceship with a couple of her friends and flew to
earth. She flew too one of the most hectic cities
imaginable, New York. The bright vivid lights
amazed her as she walked down the avenues and
streets. The billboards dumbfounded her as she saw
the stars in bright lights. She stumbled over a
little manhole cover in the middle of the street.
There was a man next to her luckily there to catch
her as she was about to fall.
"Thanks" she said.
" You're welcome. Be careful of the sewer
system around here it can be very tricky." The
gentleman said.
"Thanks for the advice."
"Do you want to have lunch with me, I know the
best places in New York to eat."
"I don't know, I just met you." Cosmo said.
"We can just have lunch and talk, o.k? Then we
can just part ways." He said with hope in his
voice.
"By the way my name is Jack."
"My name is Cosmo."
"Well what do you say, let's go."
"O.k., but only for lunch."
She knew that it would be impossible for her to
travel from planet to planet on a daily basis, so
she had to avoid having a relationship with someone
from another planet, but she was still a kid. So
they had lunch and started talking, after a while
they started going out more often. They started to
like each other more and it eventually turned into
love for each other. He still never found out that
Cosmo was an alien from another planet; she didn't
have the heart to tell him the truth and hurt
him.
Eventually Cosmo's parents found out that Cosmo
was leaving the planet without their consent. To
find out where she was going they had a small
undetectable spaceship follow her wherever she
went. When they landed he was supposed to tell her
parents exactly where she was and they would send
more people to come and get her. She had no idea
of what was happening and continued to sneak off
the planet Oobleck. One morning, when Cosmo
thought everyone was sleeping, she snuck into the
spaceship deck and went off in a spaceship.
Unknown to her, she was being followed by the man
her parents paid to follow her when she left.
So as they traveled through the galaxy never
once did Cosmo find out that there was someone on
her tail. So she led him to New York, on the
planet Earth. Cosmo was going to meet up with her
human boyfriend when all of a sudden she heard a
loud noise in the air. She looked up in the sky
she saw a bunch of spaceships with people coming
down looking for her. She hid in the little coffee
shop across the street, but there was no hiding
from the aliens. Once they found her they grabbed
her and put her into the spaceship. Once she was
in the ship they left.
"Wait!" Cosmo cried.
"We're going home whether you want to or not."
Her father said.
"I have to do something first, I have to say
goodbye to someone and tell him the truth."
"Fine if we go back you have to promise me
you'll never run away like this again, o.k."
"O.k."
They went back to earth to meet up with the man
Cosmo loved. She saw him there at their favorite
spot in the entire city, a little coffee shop in
the middle of Times Square. She didn't want to but
she had to tell him the truth about herself. She
had to tell him who she really was. She walked up
to him slowly but he couldn't see her because she
was behind him.
"Hi." She said.
"Hi, how are you doing."
"Fine. Look I can't stay. I have to tell you
something, I'm not who you think I am. I'm an
alien from another planet called Oobleck, I
traveled all the way to earth to have some
excitement in my life."
"If you wanted to break up with me you could
have just said so instead of lying to me."
"It's the truth, I swear."
"Yah, I'm sure it is."
At that moment her father grabbed her arm and
said they had to leave. She said her final goodbye
and left. Jack saw her lift off in the spaceship
and thought to himself, "Damn she wasn't lying, I
got to get her back."
So on he went looking for a way to get to planet
Oobleck. Fortunately for him he found a
sympathetic man who was helping Cosmo's parents
find her and who was heading back up to Oobleck.
When they finally arrived the sympathetic man
showed Jack exactly where Cosmo lived and who Cosmo
really was. Once he found out Cosmo was the
princess of Oobleck and she was being held in the
palace, he went to go save her. He didn't have
much of a plan though; he just burst his way
through the guards and ran up to the front doors.
For some reason Cosmo's father let Jack come into
the palace.
"What are you doing here?" Cosmo's father
said.
"I came to get Cosmo and take her back to planet
earth."
"I think not," Cosmo's father said," you have no
way to support my daughter and plus she is the heir
to throw. She can't go off to earth with some
imbecile who isn't even in her race."
"At least I consider her feelings and well
being."
"You don't need to have feelings in order to
rule, you just need a strong stomach." The king
said.
At that moment Jack got so mad he stabbed the
King, Cosmo's dad, in the stomach and killed
him.
His guards rushed up to save him, but it was too
late. Jack was thrown in jail. When Cosmo's
father died it was her duty to take rule of
Oobleck. When she did, she acquitted Jack of all
his wrong doings, and he was released from jail.
Soon after the two were married and ruled Oobleck
for the rest of their lives. They had a wonderful
and happy life soon after.
