Oobleck Rescue

Once upon a time there was a girl named Gabrielle Kawasaki and her three best friends Ciera Cummings, Ashleigh Carbonel, and Aurora Lemke. Gabrielle was a smart, sensible person who always succeeded in everything she did. Her friends were the same way.

Suddenly she woke up from a night mare. It was about three people who were stuck on a planet with green gooey stuff that was every where and they couldn't return to Earth.

It was still early in the morning, so she decided to turn on the television. She skimmed through the channels and stopped on the channel eight news. First, they talked about a robbery. Then, they said, "Citizens we have just gotten breaking news. Three boys had managed to travel to the planet of Oobleck, but never came back. We will give you further information as it becomes available."

Gabrielle called up her friends and told them about the dream she had and what she had just saw on television. She didn't know if it was just a coincidence or if it was a sign to go and help the three people on the planet.

She turned on the television again, and waited for the names to be announced.

The reporter said, "Update! The three boys are Michael Alvaro, Russell Lamay, and Bleys Wright." When she heard the name Michael Alvaro, she realized that he was her cousin.

Right at that moment Gabrielle took the dream as a sign to help her cousin and his friends. She called up Ciera, Ashleigh, and Aurora, and told them her plans. They scheduled January Eighth Two Thousand Ten at nine forty five in the evening to be the day they would travel to the planet.

It was late December, so they started building their ship right away, They used garbage as fuel, and things they found in the junkyard to build their giant stereo spaceship. They completed it two hours before takeoff time.

The girls quickly packed their supplies needed on their journey to the planet.

At exactly nine forty five p.m. they left Earth and headed toward Oobleck. It took them exactly nine days and seven hours to travel such a long distance.

Throughout the nine days, all they did was stare at the beautiful galaxy around them.

The planet was finally in sight. It was exactly like Earth, but the ocean was green and looked thicker than water and the land was blue and extremely small. They used a machine to calculate the amount of people that could stand on the island.

Gabrielle activated the oobleck punchers and began searching for her cousin and his two friends. By the time she searched half the planet, she was very tired, but she kept on searching. She had traveled a few more miles when Ashleigh said,"Look, I see one of them." They threw down a rope ladder and he very slowly climbed up. When he finally reached the ship, Ashleigh asked him what his name was. He said "Russell." Ciera gave Russell a glass of water.

Ashleigh said,"Do you know what happened to the others?" He replied, "No, I don't know if they made it out of the oobleck."

All four of them took turns operating the ship. It was Russell's turn. While he kept a look out for his friends, Gabrielle, Ashleigh, Aurora, and Ciera had a bowling match. Conveniently, they had a one-lane bowling alley on their ship.

The winner of the match was, of course, the bowling champ, Gabrielle.

Just then, Russell yelled, "There's Bleys!!!" They all ran and let down a rope, he climbed up, and Ciera already had a glass of water ready because she knew another person had survived.

It was Ashleigh's turn to be the look out. She watched and watched and she began losing hope. Suddenly, Aurora and Gabrielle yelled, "Look everyone it's Michael."

Everyone was so happy that the boys were safe and away from harm. They partied all night long. They returned to Earth, and became the greatest heros of all time.

To show their appreciation they threw a party at the Social Hall. Every one was invited. People from every where around the world came to thank them for risking their lives for the boys. They all replied, "No problem."
