Oobleck Island
"Ready and packed"! Said captain Pono Pono.
"Claire, Sam, Ma, Kaulu, Ula"! Board the
spacecraft. 3, 2, 1, 0! "Blast off yelled the six
passengers"! As they were taking off the six
young, fearless crewmembers were
chanting, "oobleck, oobleck. Oobleck"! Then
they started singing, "sit right back
and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a faithful
spaceship, that's taking off from
Hawaii aboard a six roomed spaceship. In space
the galaxies started getting rough, the ship
was almost tossed, if it wasn't for the fearless
crew the "Kauai" would be lost, the "Kauai" would
be lost. Although they went berserk inspace, the
crew members still landed on the Oobleck planet,
they started toexplore the planet and had no food
water or shelter". With Ula, Captain Pono, Sam
Mantha, and Ma, Kaulu, Claire Owens and her dog
here on Oobleck Island.
Captain Pono was a take-charge kind of guy. He
told everyone what to do.Even in this situation. We
were stranded on an island that we don't know ofand
captain Pono was meaner than ever. I guess he was
grouchy to keep ussafe and alive.
Claire was another story. She bossed
everyone around, she was really sassy and she wants
to talk to no one. She just followed wherever
thecrewmembers went. She was a beautiful,
enchanting, bossy, actress. Shesaid things like "oh
my gosh, I broke a nail".
Everyone else and I (Kaulu) was the same,
normal like everyone else. We worked together,
helped one another and gave each other good
comments.We worked as a team.
We were ship wrecked. Actually space ship
wrecked. Our engine was burntout, our wing was
broken in half, and we didn't have our basic needs
like food, water, and shelter. Our legs were
shaking, our bodies were shivering, and we were
scared as heck.
It was the third day of our horrible
nightmare ever. We were up before the dawn's early
light. Although we didn't know this, we were about
to meat Oobleck people. As we explored Oobleck
Island (planet) we observed that everything around
the planet was exactly like earth but it was just
the rain and the ocean was green, slimy and grose.
No one wanted to touch it. As I said, the oobleck
was green like a persons fresh bugars that just
came out of someone's nose. It smelt like glue and
made the crewmembers have to go out there to try
and bring the spaceship back in to shore or go out
there to fix the wing or engine.
As we were still exploring, we caught
ourselves going towards a deep, pitch-black cave.
We did not turn back. We stuck together and
explored this mysterious cave. Noises came from
every direction. We could hear everyone's heart
beat. As the noises became louder and closer, the
closer the noises got, the louder our heartbeat
became. Boom, Boom! Boom, Boom!Boom, Boom! All of a
sudden it became quiet as if everyone was dead.
Then a green light was glowing around the corner as
if a fire was being set. Booooooooo!!! Out jumped a
green slimy creature that looked like a bug was
swished and stepped on. "We come in peace we cried,
we come in peace".We thought we were going to be
kidnapped and then eaten.
The creature could talk. "My name is
Papajohnnovia". Said the creature in a low pitch
voice. " I want to be your friend. I have a family.
Three children, Dripplekanaka, kadrouplenipple, and
Pleskianfartness. A wife named
Aurorabeamkanakakouku. I have special powers and I
can help you with any of your problems. YES, YES,
YES! We shouted. "Our ship, spaceship that is, is
broken. Our engine is burnt out, our wing is split
in half, and it's floating in the middle of the
Oobleck Ocean. None of us want to goout there in
the oobleck. "Said Captain Pono Pono. " we must
find our materials". Said the oobleck person.
(Two Months Later)
We found all of our materials and we were
ready to build our wing as well as fix our engine.
It took us a week to build half of our wing and an
other month to build the other half because of
difficulties.
Animals attacked our shelter or base and wiped
everything we had. Wefought back and eventually
won. How ever one of our crewmembers died.
The animals and us, the "Kauai"
astronauts, were practically in war. In three weeks
we killed more than half of the crucial animals.
Blood, the color of delicious strawberries were
everywhere, so was the guts. The war between man or
people and animals was almost over.
The beautiful morning is what I said the
next day. Gods painting was the beautiful sight to
start an early day. How ever, the animals attacked
again and we were unprepared. Animals were blasting
out poison and shot a couple into Sam Mantha's
skin. Her cheeks became rosy red; her skin became
purple like a rotten apple that animals or bugs
were chewing on. This was her last ride for her
life andher last adventure. As she took her last
breath, she then past out and was no longer
alive.
Although we were in sorrow, we carried on-we
slowly fired the engine and use oobleck as gas.We
fixed our spaceship, took Sam Mantha in a wooden
coffin that we built and went back to earth. We
thanked the oobleck people a lot. We plan to go
back in two years.
But we had Sam Mantha's funeral. It
was the best trip.
