Battle of Fort Henry

Temperature:

The battle of Fort Henry was fought in extremely cold weather. The temperature was the same compared to now, which is at a freezing 34.3 degrees. Unlike today with thick jackets, the soldiers had a hard time surviving the weather since their clothes weren't insulated. It was very cold back then, and most men had to leave everything that was theirs behind so they could just walk short distances through the windy air.

The Colt Revolvers' History:

The Colt Revolvers were invented by Samuel Colt. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 19, 1814. His revolver was the first practical revolving firearm. He tried to patent it in 1842, but failed. When the Mexican War began, however, the U.S. Army ordered 1,000 of his revolvers. They were first manufactured at Eli Whitney's factory at Whitneyville, Connecticut. He then set up his own factory in 1847, at Hartford, Connecticut.
