The Battle of Fair Oaks
Song Page

To the tune of: "Home on the Range"
Words by: Rachel Lee-Soon

battle painting

Seven miles East of Richmond

It was a gray and humid day

'Cuz the rain had just stopped,

The battle began,

And the cannon balls flew all day.

Though Seven Pines is no more

It's a part of our history.

Battle of Fair Oaks was fought

The South lost a lot,

And the Union had a victory!
