The Battle That Lasted A Week
The Seven Day Battle was part of a campigian lead by General McClellan to attack the southern capital of Richmond. Linclon told McClellan to do this even though he thought that McClellan had a great sense of battle but almost never attacked first. It was well defended until the tragic downfall of Joe Johnston. Johnston was badly wounded so Jefferson Davis romoved him from battle and replaced him with General Robert E. Lee. Now the newly appointed general was to command the Northern Virginian Army against the Union. This Seven Day battle would rage across sevearl different battlefields, from small
