North's 2nd Chance for a Victory

On August 29, 1862 the battle of 2nd Bull Run or the battle of Manassas occurred. 63,000 troops came from the Union and 54,000 came from the Confederates heading into each other at an unfinished railroad track. John Pope, the US general was convinced that he had Robert E. Lee's troops done for, but quantity is not better than quality. Then general Lee's troops came back and the attacks were repulsed with many casualties on both sides. The battle wasn't over yet and both armies were head strong and pushing forward. As the death toll grew we wouldn't know the outcome until this terrible tragedy was over.
