The Bloodiest Battle of the Civil War

The Battle of Perryville, also known as the bloodiest battle of the Civil War, was fought for a total of one day. It was fought in Perryville, Kentucky. The reason the battle of Perryville was fought because the South wanted to own Kentucky. On October 8, 1862, Bragg and his many troops marched into Kentucky expecting a fight. Well, they got it all right, becuase the North, led by Buell, won the battle.
