Battle of Murfreesboro
Statistician Page


The job of the Statistician is to compute the numbers from both sides of the Murfreesboro (Stone's River) battle. I

have researched the battle of Murfreesboro and found the total soldiers going into battle, number of deaths,

injuries/wounds, number of men missing, and the total number of ammunition. Then I calculated the total number

of soldiers and the total number of days of the battle, which is three (Dec. 31, 1862-Jan. 2, 1863), and multipled

their daily food and got the food rations. When finding all these information I compared the North (Union) to the

South (Confederate). Below there are three graphs. The first graph has the casualties and the second one is the

number of ammunition. The last graph has the daily food rations.
