(sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle)

Champions Hill was a battle

in the Civil War.

It was a very short battle,

and lasted only six hours.

Fought in Hinds County,

with guns and soldiers,

this was not a big battle

because it was so small.

A little battle with big brave,

who fought for our country,

they fought in the hot sun

in 1863.

Located in Vicksburg,

overlooking Jackson

The Confeds vs. The Union,

hoping they both will win.

In the end the Union won,

with not many lives to spare.

A failure war for the Feds.

because the Union are champions.
