Bloody South'ners

 (Sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle.)

Grant took his army down the mighty Mississippi River

Took them 'cross the river and yanked them back up north

Went to the town of Vicksburg, seiged the bloody south'ners

Surrounded them and starved them until they had to surrender

 

The northerners surrounded us

What were we supposed to do

We could not call for help so we ate our leather shoes

Ohhh ohhh leather shooooessss....
