The Confederates Revenge!

On September 19, 1863, the battle of Chickamauga
began. The Confederates were angry with the Union because
they took Chattanooga from them. Fighting continued until
September 20, 1863. The battle lasted for two days. It was
another sad loss for the Union, but another great win for
the Confederates. 3,968 lives were lost in this battle.
1,656 lives were lost from the Union, and 2,312 lives were
lost from the Confederates.
