The Battle of the Wilderness
Song Page

To "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"

Grant and Lee have met upon the battlefield this very day.
Though the field is not a field it's called the "Wilderness" they say
Lee is confident he'll win this one his lucky month is May
But Grant says no way

Chorus:
Lee you better run I'm com'in
Gonnah put you in an oven
Just bring it Grant because i'm wait'in
There's no way I'm backing down

Grant and Lee's troubles have just begun cuz neither of them know
Just who wins or loses this one but this is how it goes
Grant and Lee's armies they fought their best, they struggled prayed and cried
Yet the history books said they tied

Repeat Chorus X1
