Battle of Franklin
Song Page

(to the tune of Amazing Grace)

On November 30th
In 1864,
The Rebels attacked
The Yankees.
It was cold with 9-inch snow,
So they fought with much woe.
Franklin saw much blood on that day.

The South was led
By General Hood
And the North was led by
General Schofield.
The North was strong
Against the South's wrong.
In the end, the Union won.
