Project Description: This interdisciplinary Koa Team project focused on ‘Ike Hawai‘i, to cultivate knowledge of Hawaiian literature and oral traditions. Learning and sharing of knowledge were enhanced through the use of educational technology. Field trip experiences included a visit to Bishop Museum for a live performance of the Legend of ‘Umi and Windward Community College where 19th century whaling stories from Hawai‘i, Alaska, and New England were enacted.
