Māui
This legend tells how Maui slayed the great beast Pimoe. He showed the bravery, courage, strength, and endurance to take this powerful foe down to China Town. This is how the great adventure goes. One day, Maui’s mother craved the taste of fish one day. As a gift to please his mother Maui would strive to learn how catch fish. Maui had only one fish on his mind, Pimoi. So Maui and his brothers went to his grandma for advice. She said you need mighty hook from the heavens that your father posseses to catch the beast. Also you need his bird sister, alae as bait. So with his brothers Maui gets through these ‘minor” conflicts and finally gets on the deep blue sea. There he sends the bird down on the sacred and majestic hook. Less than five minutes passed before Pimoe takes the bait. Then the bloody, horrific, and deathly battle starts. It raged for two days, then Maui brought the giant up from the deep. Pimoe turned into his island form and became very heavy. So, Maui told his brother to paddle to the shore. Then Maui told his brothers not to look back for Pimoe's powers are to complicated for the human mind to comprehend. When his brothers see the shoreline, they look back in excitement. At that moment the line breaks and Maui never got his dream to reunite the islands as one. Later that night Maui goes to Pimoe. He grabbed the hook and tossed it into the never-ending sky. There it became the constellation known as Scorpio
