Did you ever wonder about how our scrumptious Hawaiian
sea salt came about? Well if you would like to find out, The Salt beds
Of Kaunakakai, is just for you. This legend takes you way back, long ago
to when Kamehameha the fourth was ruling Hawaii. You will read about how
the British Count was called upon to help two of the Kamehameha brothers
with their hair pulling finance problems. Instead of attempting to create
a solution to the problem, he basks in the blazing sun from dusk till
dawn. He turns so red he could blend in with a newly blossomed red hibiscus
flower! And yet, he still refused budge. Wouldn’t you just be furious
at him! I know I would be. Well calm down, its okay because the count
prevails in the end and all turns well. This legend is not only enjoyable
and interesting; it is also informational and enlightening. It will teach
you about how you should always be patient and keep your trust in others.
We all get frustrated once in a while but after reading this legend you
just might become inspired learn from the Kamehameha brothers. The British
count proposed the name Kaunakakai for the name of the city that he was
requested for. Which is how this town in Molokai received its name. This
legend is great for everyone. It will relieve your curiosity of why our
Hawaiian salt is so much more delicious then any other ordinary salt we’ve
