Aloha. Welcome to the Ulu ka Hoi home page. "Ulu ka hoi" translates to "the hoi vine grows". This Hawaiian saying denotes not only the growth of a plant, but also the growth of interest, or hoihoi. This project was completed by the yellow team students of Kamehameha Middle School, class of 2007. Its purpose is to teach the flora of the Hawaiian Islands, including scientific, geographical and cultural aspects of these plants, as well as incorporate the use of technology within an assignment. We hope you enjoy our site. Aloha and mahalo. |
