Aloha! My name is Mr. Keahi Cambra and I teach English 7/8 here at Kamehameha Middle School. I am so excited to be working with such a talented and inspiring group of teachers and students. This is my second year teaching at Kamehameha and I am so honored to be able to work at a school with such a rich tradition, tremendous opportunities, and outstanding academic excellence. I previously taught at Saint Louis Middle School for six years where I enjoyed teaching language arts, geography, computer science, journalism, and coaching football and basketball.

I received my Master of Secondary Education degree and teaching certificate from Chaminade University. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor’s degree in English from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. I am the President-Elect of Ka Hui Heluhelu, the Oahu chapter of the International Reading Association, where we actively promote literacy for all children.

My wife and I live in Temple Valley (Kaneohe) and we have two beautiful young boys, Kaialii (9) and Jaden (3).

On my free time, I enjoy reading mysteries, action-adventure novels, psychological thrillers, and sometimes horror. I am a football fanatic and love watching games, coaching, and playing it on my Nintendo Gamecube. I enjoy working out, playing softball, and love mountain biking as I try to ride the trails when I can. But most of all, I love spending time with my family and playing with my boys.

I look forward to a wonderful year with our students. Imua.
